LEATHERHEAD, UK 31st January 2008 – Toshiba Air Conditioning has launched a new industry-wide benefits scheme that goes hand in hand with a fresh appreciation of the value of its installers throughout the UK. The scheme is called ‘Additions’ to emphasise that it is all about giving added value. Registered Additions members immediately gain points on all system purchases, redeemable for free Toshiba products.

The previous Toshiba installer scheme is widely acknowledged as having been one of the most successful of its kind in the industry. The new scheme will build on the features of the original, which was launched eighteen years ago and was extended in 2004.

Among the striking features of the new scheme are the inclusion of ‘Dyna-doctor’™ diagnostic tools, free training, branded clothing, branded site logbooks, discount on other Toshiba technologies, vehicle signage, promotional and networking activities and extended warranties, all dependent on the level of membership. Registration is open to all contractors in the HVAC industry and classification is dependent on a combination of industry experience, quality installations, Toshiba product knowledge, professionalism and, of course, loyalty to the brand.

The new Additions benefits scheme has been developed following a thorough re-examination of the market, the skills of the contractor base, the position of Toshiba as one of the market leading air conditioning companies in the UK and the new training resources available since the launch of the Leatherhead training centre last year.

Additions will reward the commitment of participants to Toshiba products and training by the accumulation of points that can be translated into purchases of equipment. It is a registration-based scheme that emphasises quality of performance, experience and installation standards. The original successful levels of membership - Toshiba Accredited Installer, Toshiba Qualified Installer and Toshiba Registered Installer, will be retained.
