| Toshiba launches touch screen control |
| Toshiba Air Conditioning has announced that touch-screen technology is now available as an option with the controls packages that accompany its latest Super Modular Multi System (SMMS) R410A VRF air conditioner range. The Toshiba touch screen provides a very clear display of the system and offers immediate interactive operation. The commands available include: on/off, network control of mode, temperature and central/local, monitoring of six functions plus energy usage using a power meter, fault code display and data logging.
The Toshiba touch screen operates with the 'intelligent server' network control system for larger installations. Toshiba network control interfaces with building management systems and can incorporate individual Split System air conditioners as well as VRF systems operating within defined locations. Toshiba's TCC-link control technology that is offered with its new SMMS systems provides improved control operation features. These include automatic addressing of indoor units. This overcomes the need for each indoor unit to be set manually. The TCC-link remote controller enables the user to change detailed parameters such as adjustment of air flow for high ceilings. Unusually, the actual room temperature can also be displayed by the remote controller as well as more conventionally by a wall-mounted thermostat unit. |
